It is important to have an Integrated Education Programme for the sighted and the sightless children, so that they understand one another. Under this Programme, blind children in rural and urban areas are encouraged to study alongside sighted children in Shihor, Ghogha, Palitana, Gariyadhar and Mahuva on a selective basis. Particularly heartwarming is the participation of the blind children in all school activities with enthusiasm and the acceptance by the others of the potentials of blind children.

There are total 21 teachers and 350 students were the part of the scheme with only area of four division of district – Ghogha, Talaja, Mahuva and Bhavnagar. Improvingly the institute added Shihor, Palitana, Gariyadhar and more divisions and is on the very progressive way.

Under the integrated education scheme, the students are providing educational training from experts, special trainings, uniform, scholarship, necessary equipments, education kit (Text books, notebooks, mathematical instruments, drawing papers, color set etc.).

But, still there are 150 children remaining to get the benefit of the scheme as per the approved government rule.
